Usha Budhrani, PE, holds a Master’s degree in Structural Engineering from Texas A&M University. During her academic tenure, she contributed as a Research Assistant on a project funded by TxDOT, focusing on pretensioned bent caps. This experience ignited her passion for bridge engineering, a field to which she has since dedicated her career.
With extensive experience in bridge design, analysis, inspection, and structural design and plan review, Usha currently serves as a Structural Engineer at Modjeski & Masters. Her specialization lies in bridge replacement and new bridge projects, catering to various authorities and DOTS including the Florida Department of Transportation, Florida’s Turnpike Enterprise, and Palm Beach County.
Usha’s professional journey underscores her commitment to collaboration and effective communication as the linchpins of project success and timely delivery. She fervently believes in fostering a culture of mentorship and camaraderie in the workplace to instill a sense of ownership and accountability among her peers, ultimately leading to the delivery of high-quality work.
Actively engaged in the K-12 committee in FES, Usha is dedicated to mentoring aspiring engineers and fostering a sense of community within the profession. Her intrinsic drive to build meaningful relationships, coupled with her adept communication skills and passion for mentorship, positions her as a compelling candidate for an inspiring leadership role within the engineering community.
