THE SUCCESS AND EFFECTIVENESS

The success and effectiveness of FES Miami as an organization, is galvanized by the efforts of the Board of Directors and members. These efforts are channeled through various Committees which are intended to influence our schools, the Engineering profession, our Community, State and County.  Our monthly Newsletter will provide updates of the various Committees and opportunities on how members may volunteer and participate. If you are interested please contact Ron Colas, PE at colasrm@pbworld.com.

FES COMMITTEE APPOINTMENTS

Strong committees are critical to the success of our organization and they offer our members an opportunity for meaningful involvement in the betterment of our profession. FES is now asking for volunteers to serve on our state committees. If you are interested in participating please contact your FES Chapter President or Kelly Jones. FES/FEE PROFESSOR ASSEMBLY SURVEY

The Florida Engineers in Education (FEE) committee is considering hosting a one or two-day “professor assembly” next year. The purpose of the assembly would be to exchange ideas and information on the state of engineering education and the engineering profession. All disciplines from all engineering colleges/universities in our state would be invited, including faculty, department chairs, deans, and others.

To measure the level of interest in the assembly and the proposed topics, a survey was sent in April to FES/FEE members. It was also sent to engineering deans for dissemination to their professors and administrators. FEE is still soliciting survey responses, but a preliminary look at the interest level is attached.
