Fernando Gomez, PE, PSM

Fernando has over 37 years of professional experience in Civil Engineering projects in both in the public and private sectors. A graduate of the University of Miami with a BSCE and a BSAE, Fernando holds registrations as both a Professional Engineer and a Professional Surveyor & Mapper in Florida. He is a Principal of Snubbs Consulting Inc. (n.k.a. AllBright Engineering). His areas of specialty include highway design, work zone traffic control, traffic operations /channelization, and signalization.

He has been active in the Miami Chapter of the FES, serving on the board for 11 of the last 14 years (since 2009). He routinely serves on the Awards Committee, and volunteers at the Future City Competition, and MathCounts Competition. Fernando recently was honored with the 2023 FES Fellow Membership at the Chapter and State levels.  

Fernando enjoys biking and follows the Miami Dolphins and University of Miami football teams. He is the proud grandfather to his youngest of five, Oscar Gomez, born November of 2022.
