Mr. Gus Quesada graduated August 1989 from the University of Florida (UF) with a BS in Civil Engineering. During his undergraduate years at UF he was a participating member of ASCE, Benton Engineering Council, and the Florida Engineering Society (FES) where he reached the position of Chapter President; he was awarded the FES Student Chapter Award, FES Student Service Award, and was inducted to the UF Engineering Leadership Circle. Mr. Quesada’s has been involved with the Miami Chapter of the Florida Engineering Society for over 20 years and was awarded Engineer of the Year in January 2007; he has held several cabinet positions including Chapter President (2014-2015) where he led the group to the ACE Award for Chapter Excellence. Currently serves as Chair of the CE&I Subcommittee with the Florida Institute of Consulting Engineers as well as several professional development committees with the State Chapter of the Florida Engineering Society. Mr. Quesada is a committed member of the organization and actively supports student professional development activities from K-12 through college and university levels. He has over 28 years of professional experience working for FDOT, B&A, OHL-Community Asphalt, and is currently working for New Millennium Engineering, Inc., on major projects in Miami-Dade County and continues to be an integral part of the areas infrastructure development.
