FES Student Chapters

Finding and nurturing leadership in active student members has allowed FES to become an interdisciplinary organization proudly promoting engineering licensure and ethics. FES is always looking for the next generation of leaders to promote and defend the engineering profession. Leadership training is available at local student chapters under the support of local professional engineers.

Alpha Chapter

The FIU FES Chapter is excited in being one of the most active student chapters in the state. FIU FES is not only dedicated to Professional Development but is passionate in inspiring K-12 students through their outreach efforts. Over the most recent two years, FIU FES has increased membership from 20 to 293 student members. They hosted over 200+ participations including 50+ Outreaches, with the partnership of the FIU Engineers on Wheels (EOW) program.

Miami-Dade College

Kendall Campus

The Miami Dade College FES Chapter has been active in introducing first and second-year students to the world of engineering and professional development. MDC FES brings in professional engineers to speak to students about their careers and organizing job site visits and connecting students with internships, and help students successfully transfer to four-year ABET-accredited programs all around the state to complete their Engineering degrees.

MDC FES has facilitated in hosting an annual MathCounts competition and has participated in other FES events such as middle schools’ Future City Competition and Be an Engineer for a Day events throughout the school year.

Students who are enrolled in a pre-engineering program junior college, Graduate and Undergraduate Engineering Students in an ABET-accredited engineering program are eligible for FREE FES membership. Students are affiliated with FES and a local chapter. Active students can benefit from networking events, newsletters and many more resources.
